5 TIPS FOR A SAFE ROAD TRIP

Planning a road trip this year? Here are my top 5 tips to ensure you can enjoy your trip without needless worries.
Tip #1
You’ll be surprised of all the headaches you can avoid by doing this step before any road trip. 🚗
It’s always a good idea to know if your car can even take the road trip or not, and of course, making sure everything inside your vehicle is in good shape, because there is nothing worse than being stranded on the side of the road or in another town where you don’t know anyone with a broken down vehicle.. Ask me how I know! 😒

Tip #2
If you want peace of mind when taking a road trip, 🚗  then make sure things around the house are in order before you leave.
Make a list of all the things that need care such as house plants that need watering, or the mail, or your lawn, or even installing a security system if necessary. 💙
Plus, coming back from a long trip to an organized and clean house is such a relief!
It may not be fun to tidy up 🧹 the house before leaving, when you’ll be so glad you did once your back home! 😊

Tip #3
This is a MUST! Always carry an emergency roadside kit in your trunk or in the back seat a bag with a flash light, extra batteries, blankets, water, jumper cables, an emergency triangle and never forget a phone charger.
Also, it will not be a bad idea to carry a first aid kit with you as well.

Tip #4
Make sure you download your map or take screenshots of directions (at least for the main intersections where you may need to turn) while you still have internet connection or data. Make sure to bring an USB car charger (or two).

Tip #5
A credit card is definitely the #1 option to pay for your hotel, gas, food and more. However, if you find yourself stranded or with no real access to civilization, cash is king! Always carry some cash with you, hidden in a place where you know it’s accessible but not too obvious.
Many people hide cash inside their shoes, for example. Think of creative ways to bring cash with you, always.
